Cleaned daily from May to September by dedicated Foreshore Cleansing squad. Litter and Dog bins present.

Seasonal dog ban on nothern half of the beach 1st May to 30th September.

A1M and A19 link up to the A194 for an easy route into South Shields

Local rapid transport system Metro with easy links to Newcastle and Sunderland. Links to Newcastle Airport and Central Station. South Shields Ferry provides links to North Shields and International North Sea Ferrys.
