Crow Point can be accessed along the beach. with the adjacent UNESCO Biosphere Reserve at Braunton Burrows being within close proximity. Military training occurs on part of the Burrows. with red flags indicating when live-firing is to occur.

No horses are permitted at the beach.
Dogs are allowed on the beach provided that the dog owner removes all waste matter. The beach owner reserves the right to restrict access for dogs at any time during the year.

How to find Saunton Sands Beach
Devon / Braunton
Take the A361 to Barnstable from junction 25 of the M5. Follow the signs to Braunton. then continue on towards Croyde. Saunton is reached before Croyde.
Buses run to Saunton from Barnstaple and Braunton. The nearest train station is in Barnstaple.
