Nature and Wildlife
A three kilometre undercliff walk leads from Fisherman's Walk east to Hengistbury Head. The seafront promenade is 10km long stretching from Southbourne to Alum Chine and then on to Sandbanks. A cycle route has been introduced along the promenade.

Cleaned daily during the summer. weekly out of season. Areas of the beach have been designated glass free and can recycling bins are provided. although they are banned from certain areas.

Dogs are allowed on parts of the beach throughout the year.

How to find Bournemouth - Fishermans Walk Beach
Bournemouth / Bournemouth
Follow signs to Bournemouth. along the A338 from Ringwood and the A35 from Poole. When in Bournemouth follow the signs for Durley Chine, Bournemouth Pier and Beaches or Fishermans Walk / Southbourne Beaches.
Bournemouth coach and train station is linked to the town centre and all of the beaches by yellow buses. Once at the seafront a land train service operates along the promenade between Hengistbury Head and Alum Chine stopping at all beaches.
We use a simple colour coded key to display the amount of cottages nearby, the below shows the three different colours and the number range for each one from green through to red.
