Nature and Wildlife

The three mile Evening Hill Discovery Trail runs adjacent to the beach. There is also a pedestrian ferry to Brownsea Island where tern colonies and lagoons can be seen. Eighty hectares of this 202-hectare National Trust owned island is a nature reserve.

dogs are restricted to the area running from the extreme western end of Sandbanks Promenade to Haven Point.

Where is Poole - Sandbanks Peninsular Beach?

Accessed from the adjacent B3369. paths lead down the cliffs to the promenade.

The nearest train station is Branksome though trains run more regularly to Poole. From Poole train station it is a short walk to the bus station where there is a bus all the way to Sandbanks.
