Appalling state of dog area in cleethorpes
Cleethorpes Council should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. The dog beach area is appalling. On my previous visit there was very little beach for the dog, the area consisted of what looked like coal dust and in front of that instead of sea where the dogs could cool down on a hot day, all there was, was a huge boggy area, thick mud covered in long grass.
Since then it has deteriorated even more. The tiny dog area has been reduced to about a third of the original size,(which to begin with was little more than a couple of large gardens.)
What a disappointing day out it was. It would appear the Cleethorpes council are trying to put dog owners off visiting Cleethorpes.
Out of season the beach is lovely but often between October and April, the weather isn't suitable for a day at the seaside. I am sure it would be possible to take a section of the proper beach instead ofn the sludge area for dog owners to take there dogs.
I certainly would not recommend a visit to Cleethorpes. Not if you want to take your dogs to the beach.
